At the beginning of the month we announced that in less that a year’s time we will be publishing Ely Percy’s debut novel “Vicky Romeo plus Joolz” – exciting and busy times are ahead!
#QueerQuarrels is Lighthouse Bookshop’s queer book of the month for their reading club Other Fruit, as well as a shelf highlight during the Feminist Book Fortnight. We are so very chuffed about this, you wouldn’t believe. On Monday the 18th 19.30-20.00 we will drop by and chat to the club about the anthology, spilling the beans about the editorial process behind the stories that made it into the final manuscript. Book here to attend (it’s free, they’ve got to keep a close eye on numbers, it’s a cosy space.)
On Wednesday the 20th, from 16.00 until 18.30, we will run our first They Come from Within Workshop since our winter hiatus. This one will be set in Glasgow, we will be exploring SF/F with Eris Young. Venue details, along with a place to book your workshop ticket, will be released shortly.
Monday 25th of June is the deadline for our call for submissions to Volume II of #QueerQuarrels. We won’t be considering late submissions – be there or be square – sorry pals!
On Friday the 29th at 11.15, Nathaniel will be part of a panel at 9 Panels: Comics Industry Conference in The Glasgow School of Art – talking about publishing queer and diverse comics.
