We are finally launching Gray Crosbie’s flash fiction collection “Love, Pan-Fried”.

We have two launches planned so far:

27 October | Typewronger Books, Edinburgh

Time: 19.00–20.00

Tickets: non-ticketed event, free (if you can, check in on the Facebook event page)

Location: 4a Haddington Pl, Edinburgh EH7 4AE

Accessibility: mostly standing room with some seats available for those who need seating, the venue is not accessible for wheelchair users as there are a few stairs leading down into the shop. There are no toilet facilities. We will have another event in Edinburgh in 2020 that is in a more accessible venue.

3 November | Category is Books, Glasgow

Time: 19.00–20.00

Tickets: non-ticketed, free (if you can, check in on the Facebook event page)

Location: 34 Allison St, Glasgow G42 8NN

Accessibility: wheelchair accessible with standing and sitting room (depending on how busy the event is, sitting room priority to those who need it). No toilet facilities on the premises but the pub around the corner is happy to let us use theirs.

Catch us at Category is Books for a take #2 on Queering the Map of Glasgow ft. readings and an informal panel with Mel Reeve, Eleanor Capaldi, Sarah Spence, Michael L Richardson and Ely Percy.

Accessibility: standing and sitting room available, wheelchair accessible. No toilets on the premises. Bus and train connections within 5 minutes of the bookshop.

We will be running a creative writing workshop in collaboration with Free Pride 2019. Our working title is ‘Haiku That’.

During this workshop we will try our hand at creating queerness-inspired haiku and crafting a snazzy collage to accompany it. If this sounds like your jam, do please drop in and definitely come to check out the other events on offer at Free Pride!

Time: 14.30–16.00 (sharp start)

Location: Centre for Contemporary Arts 350 Sauchiehall St, Glasgow

Accessibility: fully accessible venue.

After a successful Kickstarter campaign we’re finally launching Vicky Romeo Plus Joolz by Ely Percy into the world. Our first stop – Glasgow. This event will be chaired by Zoë Strachan.
